Vacation requests should be submitted no less than 10 days in advance unless there is an emergency, and preferably scheduled well in advance. Administration/supervisory staff must check that there are not conflicts with regard to coverage.
B.
All vacation request should be submitted by April 15, and the majority of vacation time should be taken by Labor Day.
C.
No vacation requests, comp time or personal days are considered official unless requested, in writing, and signed by the Health Officer. On occasion, verbal permission may be granted by the Health Officer.
D.
All individuals supervised directly by the Health Officer must discuss vacation, comp time and sick leave requests with the Health Officer to ensure that there is not conflict.
