In any Village election, in the event that all eligible persons in the number remaining to be elected receive for the same offices an equal number of votes, there shall be a runoff election pursuant to this article. Such runoff election shall be held on the first Tuesday, at least 10 days after the final certification of such tie result. Such runoff election shall in all ways comply with the Election Law of the State of New York pertinent to Village runoff elections.
This article is adopted pursuant to § 15-126 of the Election Law.
