Upon the issuance of a license or supplementary license, the fees shall be as follows:
A. 
Unrestricted:

(1) 
First vehicle: $140.
(2) 
Each additional vehicle: $75.
B. 
Restricted:

(1) 
First vehicle: $50.
(2) 
Each additional vehicle: $35.
C. 
For tow truck substitution: $20
D. 
For replacement of a license or medallion: $20.
A. 
Any tow truck owner who has obtained valid tow truck licenses as set forth herein from a municipality within the County of Nassau granting the same privileges and pursuant to the same restrictions as set forth in § 55-53A herein which apply to tow truck owners licensed by the Town of North Hempstead shall pay the following filing fee:
(1) 
Reciprocal license fee:
(a) 
Unrestricted: $175.

(b) 
Restricted: $35.
(2) 
Replacement of reciprocal license: $20.
B. 
Upon payment of the above fee and issuance of said unrestricted reciprocal license, a tow truck owner is entitled to be placed on one or more of the rosters of towers established pursuant to § 55-46, upon payment of roster fees set forth in that section.
C. 
The fee payable under § 55-31A(1) above shall be a filing fee and will not be refunded if a license is not issued.
The Town Clerk shall keep a record of the name and address of each person to whom a tow truck owner's license has been issued under this chapter, showing the date and number of such license and all renewals, suspensions and revocations thereof, and a record of each tow truck licensed hereunder, stating the make, model, year of manufacture, New York State registration number and motor number thereof and the name and address of the person owning said tow truck, and a record of each driver's license issued hereunder showing the name and address of such driver, his/her New York State operator's license number, his/her driver's license issued hereunder and the date of issuance of such driver's license.
Every vehicle operated within the Town as a tow truck shall be kept mechanically fit, of good appearance and in a good, safe condition for towing.
The Town Clerk shall establish reasonable rules and regulations for the inspection of tow trucks operated upon the streets of the Town.
