[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of North Hempstead

The Town of North Hempstead, the Incorporated Village of Great Neck
Estates and the Incorporated Village of Kensington have heretofore conducted
the process described and provided in Article 17 of the General Municipal
Law for the annexation of property from one municipality to another. Said
process has culminated in the adoption of resolutions, orders and findings
by each of said municipalities approving the proposed annexation and finding
the same to be in the public interest. In order to effectuate that annexation
and to comply with the requirements of General Municipal Law § 714,
this local law is adopted.
The following described property in the Town of North Hempstead, County
of Nassau, State of New York, heretofore located within the unincorporated
portion of the Town of North Hempstead, is hereby annexed to and made a part
of the Incorporated Village of Kensington.
A.
Parcel 1: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly
boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Kensington with the southerly
side of Embassy Court and running along said westerly boundary line of the
Incorporated Village of Kensington south 21 degrees 53 minutes 06 seconds
east 49.31 feet; thence along the easterly curbline of Middle Neck Road as
in place on October 3, 1991, north 22 degrees 04 minutes 27 seconds west 44.52
feet; thence north 22 degrees 48 minutes 37 seconds west 4.88 feet to the
southerly side of Embassy Court; thence along said southerly side of Embassy
Court north 87 degrees 47 minutes 54 seconds east 9.35 feet to the point or
place of beginning.
B.
Parcel 2: Beginning at the intersection of the westerly
boundary line of the Incorporated Village of Kensington with the southerly
line of Beverly Road and running thence southerly along said westerly boundary
line of the Village of Kensington the following two (2) courses and distances:

of the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates:

the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates said point being near the westerly
right-of-way line of Middle Neck Road and 8.33 feet northerly from the northerly
end of a curve connecting the easterly boundary line of the Incorporated Village
of Great Neck Estates with the northerly side of Cedar Drive and running thence
the following fourteen (14) courses and distances along said easterly boundary
line of the Village of Great Neck Estates:

The Official Map of the Town of North Hempstead is hereby amended to
exclude the foregoing properties from within the boundaries of the Town of
North Hempstead.
Any local law, ordinance or resolution of the Town of North Hempstead
in conflict with this local law is hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict,
except that such repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment
of any person for any act done or committed in violation of such local law,
ordinance or resolution prior to the effective date of this local law.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, article or part of this
local law shall be adjudged to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction,
such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate any other part of this
local law or the remainder thereof but shall be confined in its operation
to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, article or part thereof directly
involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
This local law shall take effect on May 1, 1992.

In connection with the sale of any town-owned land, the town is authorized
to accept a note and purchase money mortgage from the purchases as part of
the purchase price.
