Article II Records Retention and Disposition

All records will be available for inspection at Webster Town Hall, 1000 Ridge Road, Webster, New York.
Records will be available for inspection during regular business hours.
All records, excluding police records and justice court records, will be available through the Town Clerk, police records will be available through the Chief of Police and Webster Town Justice Court records will be available through the Court Clerk.
If copies of records are requested, the fees will be those established pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law (Freedom of Information Law) or other applicable provisions of New York State law.

Original records must remain in the Town Hall at all times.

Records Retention and Disposition Schedule No. 19-TC-1, issued pursuant to Part 185, Title 8, of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York and containing minimum legal retention periods for town records, is hereby adopted for use by the Town Clerk of this town.
This Board hereby authorizes the disposition of records in accordance with the minimum legal retention periods set forth in Records Retention and Disposition Schedule No. 19-TC-1.
The Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to furnish a certified copy of this Article to the Commissioner of Education.
