As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
Designated lanes clearly indicating routes of ingress and egress
so as to provide control of moving traffic through parking lots in such a
manner as to prohibit confusion and facilitate traffic control.
Any outdoor space or uncovered area having a Township-approved surface
and upon which more than 10 motor vehicles may be parked and which is adjacent
to and serves a group of at least five retail stores, commonly known as a
"shopping center."
Paved in such a way that dirt, dust, sand, cinders or other substances
shall not be carried from the surface thereof into or upon public or private
property by the movement of vehicles or other causes.
A.
Parking lots shall be adequately marked so as to have
clearly defined stalls and so that moving traffic will be confined to designated
access lanes. In the event said parking lots are not marked as required by
this section, the Township may, at its option, perform the said marking or
hire it to be done and recover the cost of same from the owner or tenant of
the said lot in the manner permitted by law.

B.
Parking spaces shall have a Township-approved paved,
all-weather, dustless surface kept in good repair at all times.
C.
Parking lots shall have safe and convenient surfaces
and access in all seasons.
D.
Every parking lot shall be drained in such a way that
water shall not accumulate upon the surface thereof.
E.
Snow shall be removed from parking lots within eight
hours after snow has ceased to fall.
A.
Interior drives shall be so designed as to prevent blockage
by vehicles entering or leaving the site.
B.
Interior drives shall be clearly marked by adequate painting,
marking, curbing and signs so that operators of vehicles intending to patronize
such parking lots shall not unduly impede traffic as a result of any confusion
as to the location of entrances and exits and the manner of reaching them.
In the event said interior drives are not marked as required by this section,
the Township may, at its option, perform the said marking or hire it to be
done and recover the cost of same from the owner or tenant of the said lot
in the manner permitted by law.

C.
Temporary curbing, signs or other means necessary to
keep interior drives open and operable shall be provided to facilitate proper
traffic flows.
Adequate containers shall be provided and maintained so as to control
and contain all organic rubbish originating on or from the site.
Any part or portion of a site which is not used for buildings, other
structures, loading or parking spaces and interior drives, sidewalks and designated
storage areas shall be planted with a Township-approved all-season ground
cover and maintained to provide an attractive appearance.

Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon
summary conviction before an issuing authority having jurisdiction thereof,
be punishable by a fine of not more than $300 and costs of such proceedings
and, upon default of payment of such fine and costs, by imprisonment in the
county jail for a term of not more than 30 days. The continuation of such
violation for each successive day shall constitute a separate offense, and
the person or persons allowing or permitting the continuation of the violation
may be punished as provided above for each separate offense.
