A. 
Personal liability. Any officer, agent or employee of the county or person doing business with the county who knowingly violates the provisions of this chapter shall be personally liable for any losses incurred by the county.
B. 
Removal or discharge for cause. Any officer or employee who violates the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to discharge or removal from office for cause or such lesser disciplinary action as may be appropriate in accordance with the personnel laws and regulations of the county.
Any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.) or be imprisoned in the County Detention Center for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or both so fined and imprisoned. Each day that such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
