The Board of Health of the Borough of East Rutherford,
Bergen County, New Jersey, has concluded that it is in the best interests
of the safety and health of the citizens of the Borough of East Rutherford
to require that all persons or entities seeking to demolish a structure
within the Borough of East Rutherford, where a permit is required
for such demolition, to provide satisfactory proof from a licensed
wood-destroying-insect exterminator and licensed pest control technician
that the structure to be demolished has been inspected and found to
be free of the presence of wood-destroying insects and/or treated
chemically for the extermination of wood-destroying insects and has
been properly baited and trapped so as to clear the structure of the
presence of vermin.
The requirements set forth in §
396-225 above are limited to those structures for which demolition thereof requires a permit from the Borough of East Rutherford Construction Code Official or Building Department.
Submission of satisfactory proof as set forth in §
396-225 above shall be made to the Borough of East Rutherford Construction Code Official or Building Department.
No permit for the demolition of a structure within the Borough of East Rutherford shall be provided by the Borough of East Rutherford Construction Code Official or Building Department prior to submission of satisfactory proof as set forth in §
396-225 above.
