The skateboard park may be used from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during daylight savings time and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during standard time. The Township reserves the right to close the park at an earlier hour for any reason within the sole discretion of the Township.
The skateboard park will be unsupervised, and any and all individuals using said park understand and agree that they will proceed at their own risk.
Any and all persons utilizing the skateboard park shall be required to wear authorized and approved safety equipment. This includes, at a minimum, a safety helmet with safety strap, elbow pads, and kneepads. Those using skateboards must also wear shoes. Using a skateboard with bare feet, sandals or flip-flops is not permitted. Anyone not wearing said safety equipment as set forth in this section of this article will be in violation of this article and will be subject to any and all fines and penalties set forth in the penalty section of this article as well as removal from the facility for the duration of the day in question.
The skateboard park is to be used for skateboard and in-line skating only, and no bicycling, unicycles, scooters, ball playing or any other kinds of activity will be permitted at said skateboard park.
Any child under the age of 11 who will use the skateboard park must be accompanied by an adult. No nonskater may enter or be located at the skateboard facility unless said individual is accompanying an underage child.
The use of the skateboard park shall only be allowed when weather permits. Any type of skating or skateboarding when there is rain or snow accumulated on the ground is strictly prohibited, and no skating or skateboarding will be allowed when the skateboard park surface is wet or icy.
No food or drink, glass container, alcoholic beverage or other food and beverage of any nature is permitted at the skateboard park.
The Committee of the Township of Mullica reserves the right to establish, by resolution, additional rules and regulations for the use and control of the skateboard park. Any such rules and regulations, along with a copy of this article, shall be posted at the skateboard park and shall be binding upon any individual using said skateboard park.
Any person who violates any provisions of this article shall be subject to a penalty for each offense of a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days or community service for not more then 90 days, or any combination of the same, in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge. In addition, any person who is alleged to have violated this article shall be subject to immediate removal from the skateboard park and recreation complex for the remainder of the day in which said violation occurs.
