The proper officers of the Township are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of the Township an amendment to the 1996 agreement on the Pocono Mountain Regional Police dated November 19, 1996 (the "amendment"), in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A,"[1] with respect to the addition of Barrett Township into the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Commission and additional related revisions to the existing November 19, 1996, agreement on the Pocono Mountain Regional Police, as amended.

The proper officers of the Township are hereby authorized and directed to take all such actions, execute, deliver, file and/or record all such documents, publish all notices and otherwise comply with the provisions of this article and the Act insofar as the transaction contemplated by this article, in the name and on behalf of the Township.

The Board of Supervisors of Tobyhanna Township, effective 12:00 midnight, June 12, 1994, hereby terminates and abolishes the existing Tobyhanna Township Police Department as it presently exists, and hereby ratifies and confirms the effective start-up date of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department simultaneously on that date, June 13, 1994, provided that the Borough of Mount Pocono takes the same action.
This article shall become effective on the 13th day of June 1994, provided that the Borough of Mount Pocono has taken the same actions. In the event that the Borough of Mount Pocono takes these actions at an effective date later than June 13, 1994, then this article shall become effective on that later date.
