Upon presentation of proper credentials, the Building Code Official
or his/her duly authorized representatives may enter at reasonable
times any building, structure or premises in the jurisdiction to perform
any duty imposed upon him/her by this chapter.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether
an owner, lessee, sublessee or occupant, to erect, construct, enlarge,
alter, repair, improve, remove, convert, demolish, equip, use, occupy
or maintain any building and its accessory structures in the jurisdiction,
or cause or permit the same to be done, contrary to or in violation
of the provisions of this chapter.
General: In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions
or determinations made by the Building Code Official relative to the
application and interpretation of this chapter, there shall be a Board
of Appeals established in accordance with the Pennsylvania Uniform
Construction Code as set forth in this chapter.
The Township, its elected officials, appointed officials, employees
or agents shall not be liable for any damage that may accrue to persons
or property as a result of any act or by reason of any act or omission
in the discharge of the Building Code Official's duties.
