Bills for police detail user fees, as determined
by the Police Chief or the Chief’s duly authorized designee,
shall be issued immediately after the detail service is rendered.
The due date for payment of any such fee shall be the date of such
bill. If the bill, or any portion thereof, remains unpaid after 30
days interest, from the due date, at the rate of 14% per annum, computed
from the first day after the thirty-day billing period, shall be paid
on so much of the balance of such fee that remains unpaid.
A copy of this bylaw provision will be given
to each individual or entity to whom the police detail service is
furnished.
This provision is enacted pursuant to the authority
contained in MGL c. 40, § 21E.
