Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-5.1 et seq. the Township of Clinton hereby adopts N.J.A.C. 5:23-1.1 et seq. entitled "Uniform Construction Code Regulations" and N.J.A.C. 5:23A-1.1 et seq. entitled "Construction Board of Appeals" by reference for the Township of Clinton, the same being authorized by N.J.S.A. 52:27D-123.

The Uniform Construction Code Fee Schedule shall be as follows:
A. 
Administrative and certificate fees.
(1) 
Certificate of occupancy:[1]
(a) 
Schedule 1: 10% of permit fee. Minimum fee: $75.

Schedule 2: 10% of permit fee. Minimum fee: $75.

Asbestos hazard abatement: $14.
(d) 
Lead hazard abatement: $28.

Certificate of continued occupancy: $300.

Temporary certificate of occupancy: $30. The fee shall be waived for the first issuance of a temporary certificate of occupancy, provided a fee for a certificate of occupancy is paid at that time.

Certificate of approval: no charge.
(6) 
Certificate of compliance (includes electrical certificate of compliance for commercial pools, spas, or hot tubs): no charge.
(7) 
Variations.
(a) 
Residential (R-3, R-5), single item: $100.
(b) 
Residential (R-3, R-5), multiple within one unit or prototype to development: $250.
(c) 
All other use groups: $400.
(8) 
Plan review fee shall be 5% of the amount charged for the permit of all prototype releases. The fee shall be 20% for all other reviews. The fee shall be paid before the plans are reviewed. Plan review fees are not refundable.
(9) 
Minimum fee per subcode applied for: $75.

State of New Jersey training fees: per N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.19(b).
(11) 
Annual permit: state fee schedule [consistent with requirements as set forth in N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.20(c)5].

H. 
Electrical subcode fees for carnivals and other temporary special events. Fees for electrical inspections in connection with carnivals, as defined by N.J.A.C. 5:14A-1.1, et seq., or other temporary special events that entail four or more electrical items for which inspection is required, shall be consistent with the fees established in Subsection C of this section for the three lowest cost items being inspected. For each additional item, the fees shall be 1/2 of the amount established in Subsection C. For the purpose of this Subsection H, a temporary special event is an event, including, but not limited to, a tradeshow, concert, or other community assembly, with a duration of seven days or less.
