[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Dumont by Ord. No. 585A (Secs 11-1 through 11-5 of the 1970 Revised Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
VENDING MACHINE
Any automatic machine used for the sale of milk or other perishable food products and controlled and operated by the insertion of a coin or coins.
Any person displaying for public patronage or keeping for operating any vending machine as defined by § 436-1 of this chapter shall be required to obtain an annual license for each vending machine from the Borough Clerk.
Application for a license under this chapter shall be made to the Borough Clerk upon forms supplied by the Borough.
A. 
No license shall be issued by the Borough Clerk unless the applicant shall first obtain from the Board of Health and present to said Clerk a written certification from the Board of Health that the applicant has complied with all the rules and regulations established by said Board with respect to the operation of such machine.
B. 
Licenses issued under this chapter shall be for the calendar year and shall expire on December 31 of each year.
C. 
The annual fee for a license pursuant to this chapter shall be $50 for each machine operated within the Borough.[1]

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
