The Fire Department and each fire company now
and hereafter organized shall have the authority to draft bylaws,
provided that nothing contained therein shall conflict in any manner
with this chapter.
The Mayor and Council, upon recommendation of
the Chief, shall apportion all municipal fire apparatus and equipment
among the respective companies as it shall deem necessary for the
best interest of the Department and may remove any and all fire apparatus
and equipment from any company at the discretion of said Mayor and
Council only after consultation with the Chief.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this
chapter, the Mayor and Council shall have, at its pleasure, the right
to remove any officer of the Fire Department.
