Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Art. IV, Code Enforcement Officer, adopted 7-26-1994.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary set forth in this Code, all duties set forth for Code enforcement for the Township of Mantua shall be held by the Mantua Township Construction Office’s Building and Housing Inspectors and the Mantua Township Police Department. Those two departments shall have the power and authority to enforce each and every ordinance of the Township of Mantua and to take and complete each of the procedures which may be required in each respective chapter of the Code to effect such enforcement. This delegation of power and authority is given in addition to and not as a substitute or replacement for the power and authority which may be otherwise provided to other positions and individuals under each chapter of this Code. It is the intent of this article that the two departments named herein be given the same and exacting powers and authority as may be provided to each position which may be expressly identified in each chapter of this Code, and that any or all of such individuals holding the relevant position, may proceed with the enforcement of the respective ordinance provisions.
