[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee
of the Township of Mantua 7-27-1993 (Ch. A173 of the 1978 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The following street names within the Township
of Mantua shall hereafter be designated the official and sole street
names for each of the following streets, and the referenced old street
names are hereby deleted and abandoned as the names for such streets:

Ash Avenue

The roadway extending form Berkley Road to Roslyn
Avenue is now renamed "Ash Avenue." Maple Avenue is now deleted.

Barnsboro Road
|
The old name of "Barnsboro Richwood Road," Barnsboro
Hotel to Route 322, is hereby deleted, and the roadway is renamed
"Barnsboro Road."

Berkley Road
|
The roadway from Harrison Avenue to Bridgeton
Pike shall be called "Berkley Road." The name "Mt. Royal Mantua Road"
is deleted.

Blackwood Barnsboro Road
|
The old name of "Center Street" from Woodbury
Glassboro Road North to the Deptford Township line is deleted, and
the roadway is renamed "Blackwood Barnsboro Road" to match Deptford
Township's numbering system.

Boody Mill Road
|
The street sometimes called "Boodys Mill Road"
is now named "Boody Mill Road."
|
|
Branch Road
|
Previously known as both "Pitman Hurfville Road"
and "Church Street" starting off Mantua Boulevard, such names are
now deleted, and the roadway is renamed to "Branch Road."

Breakneck Road
|
The roadway from the Barnsboro Hotel to the
end of the Township line where it crosses over Pitman Jefferson Road
shall be called "Breakneck Road." The name "Barnsboro Jefferson Road"
is deleted.

Bridgeton Pike
|
The roadway from the Mantua Creek to the border
of Harrison Township, otherwise known as "Route 45," shall be named
"Bridgeton Pike."

Brittany Street
|
"Brittany Street" shall be the name of the roadway
from Route 45 (at Dippys) to High Street.
|
|
Cape May Avenue
|
This shall be the name of the road extending
in a southerly direction to cover East Atlantic Avenue on the north
side of Mantua Boulevard. The name "East Atlantic Avenue" is deleted
for such roadway.

Carriage Hill Drive

Westerly side of the Main Street entrance to
Carriage Hill Development. Unimproved South McCarthy is now deleted.
The roadway is renamed "Carriage Hill Drive" on original filed plans.

Center Street
|
"Center Street" shall be the name of the roadway
from the Barnsboro Hotel to the WaWa on Woodbury Glassboro Road.

|
Church Road
|
The name "Old Mantua Boulevard" on the easterly
side of Woodbury Glassboro Road off Lambs Road is deleted. The roadway
shall be called "Church Road."

|
Cohawkin Road
|
The name "Paulsboro Jefferson Road" is deleted,
and the roadway name is changed to "Cohawkin Road."

Eisenhower Avenue

South westerly side of New York Avenue adjacent
to Blocks 141 and 143. Commonly called "Washington Avenue" (an unimproved
paper street) is now deleted. The roadway is now renamed "Eisenhower
Avenue."

Elizabeth Avenue

Westerly side of Main Street entrance to Carriage
Hill Development. Unimproved Evergreen Avenue is now deleted. The
roadway is renamed "Elizabeth Avenue" on original filed plans.

Garfield Avenue
[Added 8-8-1995] |
Southwesterly side of New York Avenue and northwesterly
side, adjacent to Blocks 128, 129, 140 and 141, commonly called "Adams
Avenue" (an unimproved paper street) is now deleted. The roadway is
now renamed "Garfield Avenue."

Jefferson Road
|
The old name of "Pitman Jefferson Road," starting
on Pitman Road near Golf Course Road and ending at the Township line,
is deleted, and the roadway is renamed to "Jefferson Road."

Lambs Road
|
This road shall be called "Lambs Road" from
the Washington Township line to Route 322.

|
Laramie Way

The small roadway north side of Sacramento Drive
in Centre City Development (west side of Bridgeton Pike), Salem Avenue,
is now deleted. The roadway is renamed "Laramie Way."

Main Street
|
The roadway from Route 45 to the Pitman border
shall be called "Main Street." The old name "Barnsboro and Sewell
Road" is deleted.

|
Mantua Boulevard
|
Mantua Boulevard shall be the sole name of the
roadway from Route 45 to Route 55. The use of the name "Union Avenue"
for such roadway is deleted.

|
Mt. Royal Road
|
The roadway from Route 45 to the point intersection
with Main Street shall be called "Mt. Royal Road." The name "Mt. Royal
Barnsboro Road" is deleted.

|
Pitman Road
|
The old name of "Pitman Barnsboro Road," starting
at the point of Barnsboro Road and ending at Lambs Road, is hereby
deleted, and the roadway is renamed to "Pitman Road."

|
Schaub Road
|
The name "Old Berkley Road" is deleted, and
the markings for such name must be removed. The roadway is renamed
to "Schaub Road."

|
Tylers Mill Road
|
The old name of "Barnsboro Dilksboro Road,"
from Main Street to Bethel Mill Road, is hereby deleted and renamed
to "Tylers Mill Road."

Vermont Avenue
[Added 6-14-1994] |
New Jersey Avenue east of Mt. Royal Road extending
to Washington Avenue is now deleted. The roadway is renamed "Vermont
Avenue."

|
Wenonah Avenue
|
The roadway is called both Mantua Avenue and
Wenonah Avenue. The name "Mantua Avenue" is deleted, and the roadway
is named "Wenonah Avenue" starting at Norris Street and ending at
the bridge over the creek.

West Elm Avenue

The roadway extending from Berkley Road to Cresmont/Cresmont
Avenue is now called "West Elm Avenue." Elm Avenue is now deleted.
