[Adopted 7-9-1984 by Ord. No. A-12-84 as Ch. 146, Art. IV, of the 1984 Code]
A. 
No person shall resist any police officer or member of the Police Department in the discharge of his duties or in any way interfere with or hinder him from discharging his duties as such officer or member or threaten him or attempt so to do.
B. 
No person shall in any manner assist any person in the custody of any police officer or member of the Police Department to escape or attempt to escape from such custody or attempt to rescue any person so in custody.
C. 
No person shall, while operating a motor vehicle on any street or highway in the City of Rahway, knowingly flee or attempt to elude any police or law enforcement officer after having received a signal from such officer to bring the vehicle to a full stop.
Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
