A. 
A permit parking program shall be instituted as follows: At all times, restricted streets listed in Schedule XXVII (§ 401-86), in the City of Rahway will be designated permit parking only.
B. 
In such cases, appropriate signs shall be posted on those streets or portions thereof, prohibiting all parking, except parking by the holders of permits to be granted by the Parking Utility of the City of Rahway (the "Parking Utility").

A current parking permit is to be placed on the rear window of the driver's side, in the lower left-hand corner of the registered vehicle.

A. 
The responsibility and authority to administer and enforce the provisions under § 401-55 are hereby delegated to the Parking Utility. The Parking Utility may adopt rules and regulations pertaining to this article.
B. 
Applications for parking permits under this article shall be made in writing on forms provided by the Parking Utility.
C. 
When applying for a permit, the Parking Utility shall require a valid New Jersey driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

Permits will expire annually as reasonably determined by the Parking Utility. Any vehicle bearing an expired permit and parked on a street posted "permit parking only" shall be subject to the same penalty as a vehicle parked on the street without any permit.

A. 
All fees to be collected pursuant to this chapter shall be set by the Parking Utility in its reasonable discretion and not to exceed fees it charges for off-street permit parking.
B. 
A schedule of fees pursuant to this chapter shall be available for public inspection during regular business hours at the office of the Parking Utility and at the office of the City Clerk.
Any person violating any provision of this article, failing to comply herewith or providing false information in conjunction with an application for a parking permit shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days or a fine not to exceed $500, or both; and shall forfeit their privilege to hold a parking permit under this article for a period of one year.
