No person shall burn leaves, papers or refuse
of any kind on the paved portion of any street.
No person shall encumber the streets or sidewalks
of said Village with any substance or material, including ice and
snow, or pile or deposit the same therein except by the permission
of the Board of Trustees.

No person shall cut a curb in the Village of
East Aurora without obtaining a permit to do so from the Village head
of the Department of Public Works. The following regulations shall
apply to curb cut permits:
A. No curb cut shall be made within five feet of the
intersection of street property lines.
B. In any R Single-Family Residence Zoning District no
curb cut shall exceed 20 feet in length.
C. In any zoning district other than an R Single-Family
Residence District, a curb cut may be permitted to a length not to
exceed 35 feet, in the discretion of the head of the Department of
Public Works.
D. There shall be a minimum distance of 10 feet between
curb cuts.
E. No curb cut shall be made within five feet of the
side line of any separate parcel of property with a width of 70 feet
or more at the street line. In the case of a separate parcel of property
with a width of less than 70 feet at the street line a curb cut may
be permitted to be made at a distance of less than five feet of the
side line thereof, in the discretion of the head of the Department
of Public Works.
F. On state, county and town roads, approval of the appropriate
authority must be presented to the Village head of the Department
of Public Works before a permit will be issued for a curb cut.
G. Where in unusual circumstances extraordinary hardship
would result from a strict adherence to these provisions, upon application
to the Village Board of Trustees, a public hearing may be held by
said Village Board of Trustees which may thereafter grant such relief
as will alleviate the hardship without violating the spirit of this
article.

The fee for a permit issued pursuant to §
223-3 shall be as provided for in Chapter
137, Article
II, of this Code.

No person shall construct a sidewalk unless
it conforms to the grade established by the head of the Department
of Public Works. No person shall change the grade of an existing sidewalk
without the permission of the Village Board.

Violations of any of the provisions of this
article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by
imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both. Each day's continuance
of a violation after notice shall be deemed a separate and distinct
violation and shall be punishable accordingly.
