The provisions of this article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.
No person shall park any vehicle under his control
nor permit the same to stand upon any portion of any street in the
Village except parallel to and with its right side within 12 inches
of the curb. Where lines or marks shall be placed or painted on the
street to designate the space or area in which to park, it shall be
unlawful to park any vehicle across such line or mark so as to park
a vehicle in such a way that it will not be entirely within the area
so designated by such line or marks.

A.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any
of the areas designated as places for handicapped parking unless the
vehicle bears a special municipal parking permit issued under § 1203-a
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York or a registration
and disabled person license plates issued under § 404-a
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and such vehicle
is being used for the transportation of a severely disabled or handicapped
person.
B.
Handicap parking permits will be issued by the Town
of Aurora Town Clerk.

C.
All off street handicapped parking restrictions shall
be posted in accordance with the New York State Vehicle and Traffic
Law and the applicable Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
D.
Handicapped parking spaces shall be posted in accordance
with § 1203-c, Subdivision 2(a) of the New York State Vehicle
and Traffic Law. If signs are not posted at each handicapped parking
space, two signs shall be used for no more than three contiguous parking
spaces.
E.
The following areas are specifically designated handicapped
parking for purposes of this section. Their designation is not intended
to be all inclusive, nor limit those spaces designated as handicapped
parking subject to a violation of this section or the applicable sections
of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

No person shall stand or park a vehicle within
15 feet of a fire hydrant except when such vehicle is attended by
a licensed operator who is seated in the front seat and can immediately
move such vehicle in case of emergency, unless a different distance
is indicated by signs or markings. The distance of the vehicle from
the fire hydrant shall be judged on site. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS
TO THIS RULE, such as governmental vehicles, etc.
No person shall park a vehicle or any portion
thereof upon any sidewalk or between the sidewalk and the parking
lane on any street which has no curb.
A.
No person shall park a vehicle on Main Street in this
Village within 35 feet of any intersecting street.
C.
No person shall park a vehicle on the west side of
King Street within 40 feet of the intersection of the south curb of
Oakwood Avenue and King Street.

A.
No person shall park any vehicle under his control
or permit the same to stand after 2:00 a.m. and before 7:00 a.m. in
any portion of any parking lot maintained by the Village of East Aurora
for the use of the public, except in those areas which the Village
Board of Trustees may establish by resolution from time to time.

B.
Except in case of an emergency, no motor truck or
commercial vehicle weighing more than three tons gross shall be permitted
on any Village parking lot at any time.
C.
No commercial vehicle or bus of more than 20 feet
gross length or more than eight feet in width shall be permitted to
park on any public parking lot at any time.
D.
No person shall park a vehicle in any public parking
lot unless such a vehicle shall have a license plate attached thereto
and the owner can produce a certificate of registration.
E.
No person shall park a vehicle in any public parking
lot in any area in any public parking lot where the Village Board
has designated and posted such area as a no parking zone.

A.
No person shall operate a vehicle in Hamlin Park except upon the driveways and parking lots in said park and designated in Subsection B of this section.
B.
No person shall permit any vehicle under his control
to be parked or to stand in any part of Hamlin Park except in the
following designated places:
(1)
The parking area situated on the east side of South
Grove Street between a point 58 feet south of the south curbline of
Prospect Avenue and a point 432 feet south of the south curbline of
Prospect Avenue and having a depth to the east from the east right-of-way
line of South Grove Street of 18 feet.
(2)
The driveway in said park, the north boundary line
of which is approximately parallel with the south curbline of Prospect
Avenue and 432 feet southerly therefrom, and the parking space situated
at the easterly end of said driveway, the length of which driveway
extends easterly 350 feet from the east right-of-way line of South
Grove Street and which driveway has a width of 16 feet and which parking
area at the easterly end thereof has a width of 54 feet.
(3)
The parking area situated on the east side of South
Grove Street between a point 811 feet south of the south curbline
of Prospect Avenue and a point 943 feet south of said curbline and
having a depth of 200 feet east from the east right-of-way line of
South Grove Street.
C.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsections A and B of this section, vehicles authorized by the Village Board of the Village of East Aurora may be operated on the service driveway located approximately 432 feet south of and parallel with the south curbline of Prospect Avenue for the purpose of making deliveries to the Players Pavilion (and in other areas of the park with a written permit from the Village Chief of Police).

No person shall park any vehicle under his control
between "no parking" signs nor permit the same to stand between "no
standing" signs which are placed on the street by the police to control
the parking and standing of vehicles at funerals, weddings or church
services, where street repair work is taking place or utility lines
are being repaired or where an accident has occurred or where the
Police Department has determined it is in the best interest of public
safety.
