Parks and recreation areas — See Ch. 212.
As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
Includes any liquid with an alcoholic content, including
but not limited to beer, wine, liquor and other intoxicating spirits.
An offense defined by the Pennsylvania Crimes Code[1] with a maximum fine of $300 and a maximum term of imprisonment
of not more than 90 days.
Township parks or other recreational facilities currently
under the ownership or control of the Township, including but not
limited to Daniel Lohner Park, Sawmill Run Park, Deshon Woods Conservation
District, Butler Township Park and any other recreational facility
hereafter acquired by the Township.

It shall be unlawful for any person to possess
or consume any alcoholic beverages in any Township recreation facility
without prior written permission of Butler Township.

Any person violating any of the provisions of
this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof before any District
Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $300 nor more
than $600; and, in default of payment thereof, shall be sentenced
to the County Jail for a period not exceeding 30 days.
