A Technology Commission is created for the City
of Coatesville, Chester County, Pennsylvania known as the "Coatesville
Technology Commission."

The Commission shall be composed of seven members.
Two of the members will be members of City Council. One of the members
will be a member of the professional staff of the City of Coatesville
as appointed by the City Manager of the City of Coatesville, and four
of the members will be citizens of the City of Coatesville chosen
by City Council. The Commission members shall each serve a three-year
term. The terms of the members shall be staggered in such a manner
that at least one expires annually.
All persons so appointed to the Technology Commission
shall serve their full term, or until their successors are appointed,
unless they voluntarily resign or are removed by the City Council
for dereliction or neglect of duty.
Any vacancy in the Technology Commission occurring
otherwise than by expiration of a term shall be filled in the same
manner as the original appointment and should be for the unexpired
term.
All members of the Technology Commission will
serve without pay.
The Technology Commission shall have all the
powers conferred upon it pursuant to the Third Class City Code to
act for the good government and interest of the city and shall assist
the city in identifying technological developments which are a benefit
to the city and the citizens of the City of Coatesville and to review
information, conduct investigations and make recommendations and reports
relative to this purpose. However, any report or recommendation provided
by the Technology Commission shall not be binding upon the City Council
but shall be advisory only.
Nothing in the bylaws, rules and regulations
of the Technology Commission shall vest in it any powers, responsibilities
or duties not herein authorized.
