A.Â
No person shall fail to comply with any lawful order,
signal or direction of a police officer.
B.Â
Police officers shall have the power and authority
to direct vehicles to proceed in a direction other than that in which
the operator intended to proceed lawfully for the purpose of avoiding
or relieving traffic congestions during emergencies and to enforce
temporary restrictions incident to street repairs and improvements.
No person shall fail to comply with the indications
of any official equipment unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
No person shall deface, damage, move, obstruct,
destroy, change the wording of, alter or otherwise interfere with
any traffic control device. No person shall deface, change the wording
of, discard, destroy or throw away any traffic tag, notice or summons.[1]

Whoever violates any provision of this chapter, where another penalty is not provided, shall be subject to penalties and fines as specified in Chapter 285, Fees.
