[Added 12-30-1975 by Ord. No. 174]
It is the considered opinion of the Council
of the Borough of Matamoras of Pike County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
that the extension of the social security system to employees and
officers of said borough will be of great benefit, not only to the
employees of the borough by providing that said employees and officers
may participate in the provisions of the old age and survivors insurance
system, but will also be of great benefit to the borough by enabling
it to attract and retain in employment the best of personnel and thus
increase the efficiency of its government.
