No water shall be provided for internal or external use of any residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, governmental or public building or structure of any kind which is constructed or remodeled and in which plumbing, water piping or water fixtures are to be installed, extended or altered in any way unless the new, extended or altered plumbing, water piping and other water-using fixtures thereon conform to the requirements and standards of §
121-12 of this Article. The provisions of this Article shall apply to any such building or structure constructed or remodeled on or after April 10, 1994.
The Borough Council may, from time to time, modify, add to or remove
from the standards and restrictions herein.
With respect to §
121-11 et seq., the penalties set forth in §
121-8 shall not apply. The only penalty for violations of §
121-11 et seq. shall be the permit revocation as provided in §
121-16.
All building permits issued by Matamoras Borough shall contain as an
attachment to said building permit, prior to approval and issuance, a certification
by the applicant of acknowledgment of the terms and requirements of this Article
and a statement of compliance of said requirements. Failure to attach said
acknowledgment and/or the statement of compliance and/or the failure of the
applicant to satisfy the requirements of this Article shall result in the
revocation of said building permit until such time as compliance with requirements
of this Article is fulfilled.
This Article shall be effective five (5) days after the date of adoption.
