Each member of Millersville Borough Council
elected or appointed after January 1, 2000, shall receive compensation
for attending duly advertised meetings or executive sessions of the
Borough Council and performing other duties as a member of the Borough
Council at the rate of $2,400 per annum.
The Mayor of Millersville Borough elected or
appointed after January 1, 2000, shall receive compensation for attending
duly advertised meetings or executive sessions of the Borough Council
and performing other duties as Mayor at the rate of $2,400 per annum.
No member of the Borough Council nor the Mayor
shall receive annual compensation under this chapter in excess of
the annual statutory limit set by the Pennsylvania General Assembly
in the Borough Code, Act of February 1, 1966, P.L. (1965) 1656, No.
581, as amended by the Act of October 31, 1985, P.L. 292, No. 67,
and as may be amended in the future.[1]

The compensation provided for in this chapter
for members of the Borough Council and the Mayor shall be paid in
12 equal monthly installments.
This chapter shall become effective as provided
by law and shall apply to members of the Borough Council and the Mayor,
whether newly elected, reelected or appointed, on or after January
1, 2000.
