The Town Council of South Berwick, in accordance with the Workplace Smoking Act of 1987 and the 1987 Act to Prohibit Smoking in Public Areas of Publicly Owned Buildings, hereby adopts the policy regarding smoking by employees.
A. 
Smoking by employees shall be prohibited in all municipally owned or operated buildings and vehicles.
B. 
Smoking will only be allowed outside of buildings in designated areas.
It shall be the responsibility of the Town Manager and each department head to administer this policy. The policy shall be administered in accordance with the Personnel Policy of the Town of South Berwick and with the laws of the State of Maine.
