The purpose of this chapter is to strictly prohibit the use and/or possession of tobacco and/or tobacco products by minors under the age of 18 in public within the City of Grand Ledge.
As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases have the following meanings:
- TOBACCO PRODUCT(S)
- Any product made from the tobacco plant for the purpose of smoking, chewing, inhaling, or other personal use, including, but not necessarily limited to, cigars, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco, and snuff, and also includes cigarette papers.
No person under the age of 18 shall possess, use or carry any tobacco or tobacco product(s), in any form, on a public highway, street, alley, park, or other lands used for public purposes, or in any public place of business or amusement within the City of Grand Ledge.

Any person violating the provisions of § 194-3 of this chapter is responsible for a municipal civil infraction as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II. The provisions of § 1-17D(2) shall not apply to violations of the provisions of § 194-3 of this chapter.
