The regulatory provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 169, as amended, are hereby adopted to regulate the use of highways, streets and alleys within the City of Fairfax and are hereby incorporated in and made of this article as completely as if set out in full.
Any violation of the statutes adopted by reference in § 239-1 is a violation of this article when it occurs within the City of Fairfax. Any person thus violating any provision of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment in the City jail for a period of not to exceed 90 days, but if a minimum fine or imprisonment is prescribed by the state highway traffic act for an offense, such penalty shall apply to a person convicted of the same offense under this article.
