The Fire Inspector shall be responsible for performing the inspection
of various structures, facilities, and related sites and reviewing structural
plans for compliance with City and state fire codes and related ordinances.
The Fire Inspector shall perform all of those functions as set forth in the
Fire Inspector job description as designated by the City Administrator and
as directed by the Chief of the Fire Department.
The Fire Inspector and agents and assistants shall have the power and
authority to issue criminal citations for violations of any of the provisions
of this chapter or violations of any City or state fire codes and related
ordinances, in the same manner as if said citations were issued by a member
of the Papillion Police Department.
