Regardless of the location thereof, two two-day garage sales or yard sales may be held per calendar year by Town residents regardless of the location thereof and may be held only after issuance of a permit by the Town without fee. The third sale and all sales thereafter require a permit and payment of the fee of $5 per sale. A yard sale or garage sale within the meaning of this section shall be a sale of secondhand goods and items. Such secondhand goods must not have been purchased by the seller for the purpose of resale.

A. 
Multifamily yard sales will be permitted in residential areas, provided that the property owner and/or Town resident is a participant. A fee of $5 will be assessed each participant for each sale after using free yard sales as noted in § 121-1.

B. 
Factories and businesses will be allowed to sponsor an annual multifamily yard sale for their employees with no charge to the sponsor or participants except during Memorial Day/Labor Day weekend.
