Any owner or any proprietor of any tract of land who subdivides that tract of land and violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to fines as provided by Article 7, Land Subdivision and Development, of the Virginia Planning Act, Code of Virginia 1950, as amended.
In addition to other remedies, the Council may institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent violation or attempted violation or to prevent any act which would constitute such a violation.
