No person shall discharge, fire or shoot any shotgun, rifle, pistol, fowling piece or firearm of any description or any air gun, air pistol or BB gun within the city. This section shall not prohibit the use of firearms for signal purposes at athletic contests or sports events or use by militia, military organizations or police officers.

A. 
No person shall hunt with a bow and arrow or a crossbow within the Hudson city limits within a distance of 100 yards from a building located on another person's land, unless the person who owns the land on which the building is located allows the hunter to hunt within the 100 yards of the building.
B. 
A person who hunts with a bow and arrow or crossbow consistent with this section shall discharge the arrow or bolt from the respective weapon toward the ground.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter 1, § 1-18 of this Municipal Code. In addition to any penalty imposed for violation of this chapter, any person who shall cause physical damage to or destroy any public property shall be liable for the costs of replacing or repairing such damaged or destroyed property.
