The rates and charges for metered water service shall increase by 8% effective July 1, 2025, as shown in the chart below:

B. 
Outside of the Town, the rate shall remain two times the Town rate.

A. 
Properties served by a fire-suppression sprinkler system with a connection greater than one inch in size shall pay a quarterly fee. For the first four inches of the internal diameter of such connection, the charge shall be $110 per inch. For every inch of internal diameter greater than four inches, the charge shall be $60 per inch. This fee shall be included on the quarterly water bill to the property.
B. 
The quarterly rate for fire hydrants shall be, for each hydrant: $60. This fee shall be included on the quarterly water bill to the property.
C. 
Connection charge. The following connection charge shall be made for multifamily residential, commercial or industrial fire suppression sprinkler systems: $110 per inch of inside diameter of service lateral. In addition, each customer shall pay all costs of installation from the main to the protected premises.
A. 
All unlisted or special water customers not included in the foregoing section shall pay for water used or consumed as follows. Any water sold and dispensed by the Town from a fire hydrant or other source shall include a $25-per-truck-load flat rate and $20 per every 1,000 gallons of water. Bulk sale of water shall be at the sole discretion of the Town.

B. 
The Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company shall be exempt from this charge for all water used for fire prevention purposes.
A. 
All bills shall be rendered quarterly to the property owners.
B. 
Bills are due and payable upon receipt thereof, and, if not paid within 30 days of the billing date, service may be discontinued 10 days after written notice to the property owner of the Town's intent to discontinue service.

C. 
A penalty shall be imposed if a bill is not paid within 30 days of the billing date. The penalty shall be $25 or 10% of the bill, whichever amount is greater.
