Editor's Note: This ordinance also superseded former Ch. 36, Alcoholic Beverages, which comprised Art. I, Restrictions on Sale, adopted 2-1-1939 by Ord. No. 20; and Art. II, Consumption in Public Places, adopted 10-11-1973 by Ord. No. 41.
For the purpose of this chapter, the term "alcoholic beverages" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by the Alcoholic Beverages Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, § 1-101(b), as amended from time to time.
In accordance with the Alcoholic Beverages Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, § 6-321, as amended from time to time, it shall be unlawful for any individual to consume an alcoholic beverage on public property within the corporate limits of the Town except as authorized by any policies and procedures adopted and subsequently amended by resolution of the Mayor and Council.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter, including any resolution adopted pursuant to § 36-1 of this chapter, shall be subject to the penalty set forth in the Alcoholic Beverages Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, § 6-321(c), as amended from time to time.
