The President and Commissioners recognize the
necessity of formulating provisions for the removal of snow from certain
main traffic arteries within the Town limits. It is the purpose of
this article to facilitate such removal by declaring and providing
for the removal of parked vehicles from such streets when an emergency
is declared.
The following streets within the Town limits
are hereby declared snow emergency routes: Somerset Avenue, Maryland
Route 362 (Mt. Vernon Road) and Linden Avenue. All such streets shall
be duly marked by street signs.
Upon the direction of the President after consultation
with the Town Manager, Chief of Police and such other officials as
the President shall deem necessary, a snow emergency shall be declared.
After the declaration of an emergency all parked vehicles shall be
immediately removed from their parking positions on said streets.
