The Police Department of the Township of Penn shall consist of the following:
A. 
Chief of Police.
B. 
Captain: one.
C. 
Lieutenant: one.
D. 
Sergeants: four.
E. 
Patrolmen: 13.
The compensation of said police officers shall be determined by collective bargaining pursuant to Act No. 111 of 1968, P.L. 237 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.[1]

All appointments to the position of police officer in the Township of Penn shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Township of Penn Civil Service Commission.
The Township of Penn may also hire such part-time policemen as it deems necessary subject to the requirements of the Penn Township Civil Service Commission rules and regulations.
