There is hereby created the Upper Providence Township Planning Commission.

The Commission shall be composed of five members, to be appointed by
the Board of Supervisors. The term of one member shall expire on the first
Monday in January 1977; one on the first Monday in January 1978; one on the
first Monday in January 1979; one on the first Monday in January 1980; and
one on the first Monday in January 1981; and appointments thereafter shall
be for terms of four years, except for appointments to fill vacancies, in
which case an appointment shall be for the unexpired portion of the respective
term.
Qualifications of members of the Commission and their duties and powers
shall be as described in the Municipalities Planning Code,[1] provided that the Board of Supervisors may assign to said Commission
such other duties as it may deem appropriate which are not inconsistent with
the powers and duties provided by said code.

expend township funds without the express consent of the Board of Supervisors.
