Township of South Harrison, NJ Article III Livestock Running at Large

§ 38-18 Livestock prohibited from running at large.

Any person, partnership or corporation which keeps livestock for any purpose within the Township of South Harrison is hereby prohibited from permitting said livestock from running at large.

§ 38-19 Definitions.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

LIVESTOCK

Defined as but not limited to any number of cows, horses, swine, sheep and fowl of all types.

LIVE STOCK RUNNING AT LARGE

Any live stock not behind a sufficient fence and which is not attended by the owner or his or her representative.

§ 38-20 Violations and penalties.

A. For any violation of this article, the owner or custodian of livestock shall be subject, upon conviction, to the penalties provided by § 1-14 of this Code.

B. Each and every day that livestock is loose shall be considered a separate violation of this article and punished accordingly.
