§ 169-3 Enforcement.
Any person who violates any provisions of this article shall be liable to a fine or penalty for each offense.
§ 169-4 Notice of violation.

§ 169-5 Definitions.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
169-5{1} EXCAVATION
EXCAVATION Includes in its meaning an outdoor swimming pool placed, maintained or existing on private premises.

§ 169-6 Permit.
No person shall draw or haul through the streets of the City any excavated material without first having obtained a permit therefor from the Commissioner of Public Works and having paid for such permit a fee as provided in Chapter 175, Fees. The application for such permit shall specify the place from and to and the route over which said materials are to be hauled.
§ 169-7 Construction and loading of vehicles.
All vehicles used for such purpose shall be so constructed and so loaded that no such material shall be spilled or scattered along said route or allowed to fall upon and remain upon any public street or grounds, creating a hazard or obstruction to the users thereof.
§ 169-8 Penalties for offenses.
Any person violating any provision of this article shall be liable, in addition to a fine or penalty, for damages to the City for the expense of removing any material so spilled upon the street surfaces and of cleaning such surfaces.

§ 175-1 Enumeration of fees.
[Amended 4-16-2019, effective 4-16-2019] The following schedule of fees is hereby established with respect to licenses, permits, the use of the City's web payment system and activities required or regulated under the provisions of various chapters of the Code of the City of Buffalo. Applications for and the issuance of such licenses and permits shall be subject to the provisions of the specific chapter of the Code which is indicated for each type of license or permit. § 175-2 Senior citizens' recreational activities.
[Added 5-28-1992, effective 6-8-1992] The Director for the Aging shall set reasonable fees for recreational activities for senior citizens sponsored by the City, including but not limited to recreational bus trips and dances. The Director, in his discretion, may waive such fees on an individual basis for persons who cannot afford to pay.
§ 175-3 Substance abuse services counseling.
[Added 9-16-1997, effective 9-29-1997] The Commissioner of Human Services, Parks and Recreation shall establish a schedule of fees for counseling services provided by the Division of Substance Abuse Services. The fee payable to the City shall be based on the income and number of dependents of the client receiving the services. Such fee schedule is as set forth below. The Commissioner, in his discretion, may provide counseling services and waive or adjust such fees on an individual basis for clients who cannot afford to pay. § 175-4 Emergency medical service apparatus and equipment recovery.
[Added 5-21-1998, effective 6-1-1998; amended 2-23-1999, effective 3-9-1999; 10-30-2001, effective 11-14-2001; amended 10-17-2006; effective 10-31-2006] The Commissioner of Fire shall establish a schedule of reasonable fees to recover the costs to the Department for the use of apparatus and equipment in the provision of emergency medical services incurred which are above and beyond the normal range of service. The fee shall be charged to the insurance carrier of the rescued individual or entity. In no instance shall rescue and response services be denied for lack of an insurance carrier. § 175-5 Online services.
[Added 1-20-2004, effective 1-29-2004; amended 4-16-2019, effective 4-16-2019] The City of Buffalo does hereby establish a $1 convenience charge for the use of the City's Web site to make online payments to the City of Buffalo. In accordance with General Municipal Law Article 2 §§ 5 and 5(b), such payments may include; payments of fines, civil penalties, rent, rate, tax, fees, charges, revenue, financial obligations or other amount, including penalties, special assessments or interests, via the City's website or the website of a third-party vendor that has contracted with the City to receive such payments on its behalf.

§ 180-1 Firearms, shotguns, rifles and other dangerous weapons.
A. Purpose and intent. The City of Buffalo finds that violent crime is a serious problem in the City and firearms and other dangerous weapons are frequently used in the commission of crimes, particularly homicides and assaults. The possession of such weapons also often leads to accidental deaths and injuries. The possession and use of assault weapons and ammunition-feeding devices for criminal purposes is increasing and poses a serious danger to public safety. The use of weapons by persons under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol can readily lead to serious injury or death. 180-1B{2} AMMUNITION-FEEDING DEVICE
AMMUNITION-FEEDING DEVICE Magazines, belts, feedstrips, drums or clips capable of being attached to or utilized with any center-fire rifle, shotgun or pistol which employs the force of the expanding gases from a discharging cartridge to chamber a fresh round after each single pull of the trigger which, in the case of a rifle or shotgun, holds in excess of five cartridges, or in the case of a pistol holds in excess of 17 cartridges.
