This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Village of Boonville."
The words and terms used in this chapter shall have the same meaning as such words and terms are used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning:

VILLAGE
The Village of Boonville.
A. 
Games of chance may be conducted in the Village by an authorized organization after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
B. 
The conduct of games of chance on Sundays is authorized, except as otherwise provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
This chapter shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State after approval thereof by the voters of the Village voting thereon at a special election to be held on March 21, 1989, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m. at the Boonville Fire House, Church Street, Boonville, New York.
