[Adopted 6-25-1963 (Ch. 177, Art. V, of the 1974 Code)]
There is hereby created the office of Attorney for the Board of Health.
The Attorney shall be an attorney at law of the State of New Jersey.
A. 
The Attorney shall be the legal advisor of the Board and shall attend its regular and special meetings.
B. 
The Attorney shall, when requested to do so by the Board, represent them in all litigation to which the Board may be a party, prepare ordinances and perform such other services as shall be, from time to time, required by the Board.
A. 
The office shall be a part-time office, and appointments to the office shall terminate on December 31 of each year.
B. 
The incumbent shall receive compensation as provided in the annual Salary Ordinance adopted by the Board of Health[1] for his attendance at meetings of the Board. He shall receive such other compensation for additional legal services performed as shall be authorized by the Board of Health.
