No person, firm or corporation shall build or
use any slaughterhouse, cattle yard, phosphate or fertilizer works
or storehouse, rendering establishment or any soap factory, tannery
or any other place or establishment within the Village of Canton which
shall give rise to nauseous or offensive odors or which cast dust
or smoke into the air that may become detrimental to health or property.
Any violation of any section of this article
shall constitute disorderly conduct, and such violation shall be punishable
by imprisonment in the St. Lawrence County Jail for a term not exceeding
six months or by a fine not exceeding $50, or both.
As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
