It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, as defined in § 186 of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, upon obtaining both the required identification number from the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and a license from the Town Clerk, to conduct games of chance in the Town of Lake George, subject to the restrictions set forth in § 86-2 of this chapter.
The conduct of games of chance pursuant to § 86-1 of this chapter is subject to the restrictions set forth in § 189 of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
This chapter shall take effect only after it has been approved by a majority of the voters, as required by Subdivision 2 of § 188 of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, at a special election held at such time as determined by the Town Board, but not less than 60 days after the adoption of this chapter.[1]
