Receiver of Taxes and Assessments — See Ch. 29.
With the elimination of the office of Town Receiver of Taxes and Assessments, the duties formerly performed by that office were shifted to the office of the Town Clerk. As such, it is necessary to increase the number of employees of that office.
Whereas Town Law § 30, Subdivision 10, limits the number of deputies to the Town Clerk to three, Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, Subdivision (1)(ii)a(1), authorizes local governments to determine the number of its officers by local law.
The number of deputies to the Town Clerk of the Town of Tonawanda is hereby increased from three to four.
