This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Guilderland."
The conduct of games of chance within the Town of Guilderland by authorized organizations as defined in § 186 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York is hereby authorized upon the issuance of a license therefor, upon application to the Town Clerk, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

The conduct of games of chance within the Town of Guilderland by authorized organizations as defined in § 186 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York on Sunday between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight pursuant to the provisions of § 195 of the General Municipal Law is hereby authorized upon the issuance of a license therefor, upon application to the Town Clerk, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State after approval thereof by the voters of the Town of Guilderland voting thereon at a special town election to be held on January 20, 1981.[1]
