As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AMUSEMENT ARCADE
A building or part of a building in which four or more pinball machines, video games or other similar player-operated amusement devices are maintained.
AMUSEMENT DEVICES
Pinball machines (with or without flippers), video games, electronic games and other similar player-operated amusement games, machines and devices, but excluding coin-operated pool tables, music boxes, children's rides and shuffleboards.
Every person, firm, partnership, association and corporation keeping, maintaining or operating, for public entertainment or amusement within the corporate limits of the Town of New Windsor any amusement devices as defined herein shall obtain a license from the Town Clerk. The annual license fee shall be $50 each machine or device. All annual licenses shall expire on the 30th day of June in each year.
All amusement arcades, as defined herein, shall obtain an amusement arcade license from the Town Clerk. The annual arcade license fee shall be $50. All arcade licenses shall expire on the 30th day of June in each year.
Any person, firm, partnership, association or corporation violating any terms and provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. The penalty therefor is set out in § C13-4A of the Charter of the Town of New Windsor.
