[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town of North Haven 2-6-1973 Special Town Meeting. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to State of Connecticut Public Act 155, there is hereby created in the Town of North Haven a body to be known as the "North Haven Inland Wetlands Commission," which is hereby designated as the regulating agency for the town for purposes of implementing said Public Act 155, known as the "Inland Wetlands Act." Such Commission is charged with formulating all rules and regulations necessary for the administration of said Act, which regulations shall be in conformance with guidelines set forth by the State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.

A. 
Said Commission shall consist of seven regular members and three alternate members, who shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen, together with the Town Engineer, who shall be an ex officio member without the right to vote.
B. 
The Board of Selectmen shall initially appoint two regular members for a term ending December 31, 1973, and three regular members for a term ending December 31, 1975.
C. 
The Board of Selectmen shall initially appoint one alternate member for a term ending December 31, 1973, and two alternate members for a term ending December 31, 1975.
D. 
At the conclusion of each of the initially appointed terms for both regular members and alternate members, appointments by the Board of Selectmen shall thereafter be for terms of four years.
E. 
The regular members of said Commission shall elect a Chairman and Secretary from its members.
The Zoning Enforcement Officer of the Town of North Haven be and is hereby authorized and empowered to enforce the rules, regulations and decisions of said Inland Wetlands Commission.
