Whenever an agricultural assessment is established for real property in accordance with the Agriculture and Markets Law of the State of New York, such assessment shall be used for a benefit assessment or a special ad valorem levy of a fire or ambulance district, provided that the governing body of the town in which the district is located adopts a local law, ordinance or resolution providing therefor and files a certified copy of the same with the Clerk of the Monroe County Legislature.
